The power of Kenzo – FW16

S’il y a bien une marque dont je me suis amouraché et cela depuis des années, c’est bien Kenzo. Depuis l’arrivée de Carol Lim et Humberto Leon en tant que nouveaux directeurs artistiques, c’est un second souffle, une nouvelle vie qui s’est offerte pour la marque qui commençait à perdre en popularité. Ils ont cette vision des choses très novatrice et toujours dans l’air du temps, un talent fou pour dénicher des imprimés percutants, généralement ça passe ou cela casse, mais avec ces deux aux commandes c’est souvent un réel succès. Je me rappelle encore du jour où j’ai eu en ma possession mon premier sweat Kenzo provenant de la collection Automne-Hiver 2012, le vert avec cette tête de tigre brodée, ce symbole qu’on reconnaîtrait tous entre 1000 celui qui a fait redécoller la marque. J’étais l’un des plus heureux ce jour là, je m’en souviens comme si c’était hier. Se dire maintenant qu’aujourd’hui, j’ai l’immense honneur de pouvoir vous présenter un look en collaboration avec Kenzo, je peux vous avouer que c’est également un jour où dans le futur je dirai également que j’étais le plus heureux et c’est effectivement le cas. Pour une marque telle que Kenzo, que j’affectionne autant je me devais de trouver le lieu idéal, le lieu parfait pour mettre en scène cette tenue. Quoi de mieux alors que Le Palacio D’abraxas qu’on peut notamment voir dans le dernier Hunger Games pour shooter ce look. Je ne voulais pas faire les choses à moitié, c’est la raison pour laquelle j’ai choisi mon ami Valentin Fabre pour réaliser les photos, qui est un photographe d’exception, en qui je fais entièrement confiance maintenant et j’ai eu raison de lui faire confiance car le résultat est juste époustouflant, je l’en remercie mille fois.

If there is a brand I’m totally in love and this  for years, it’s definitely Kenzo.  Since the arrival of Carol Lim and Humberto Leon like the new creative director, it’s a second wind, literally the revival of the Kenzo house that is offer to the brand that began to disappear. They have this new vision, very innovative and always  in the mood of time, a big talent to found amazing print, colorful and powerful. And in general this kind of print it’s make or break, but for their, it’s a success story with all their collections.

I remember that time when I had my first Kenzo stuff, it was that beautiful green sweater with the embroidered tiger of the Fall-Winter 2012 collection that is the new symbol of the brand with the eyes and the fishes now.

I really was the happiest guy at earth that day and I remember like it was yesterday but it was four years ago. And now I have the chance and the honor to introduce you my look in partnership with Kenzo, I can admit today is also a day where in the futur I will tell to you it was one of the most beautiful day of my life and I was the happiest guy at earth again.

For a big brand like Kenzo, that I love a lot, I had to found the perfect location to stage this outfit. So what better to go to this unbelievable place that is the Palacio of Abraxas, I’m pretty sure you know this place if you watched the last Hunger Games.

I did certainly not things by halves, that’s why I chosen my friend Valentin Fabre to did this photoshoot for Kenzo, who is an exceptional photographer in whom I have every confidence and I was right to give him my confidence because look at those gorgeous pictures, Thanks a lot to him, he deserves it.
